WHAT IS HEALING BREATHWORK?
Healing Breathwork is a truly powerful circular breathing process that can literally break down blocks on a mental, emotional, physical, spiritual and cellular level, far beyond the usual intellectual understanding of limiting beliefs.
This Powerful one day Workshop includes several sessions of an intensive circular breathing process that literally breathes blocks out of your body, along with shorter breathing techniques for relaxation, stress management and meditation.

MORE ABOUT HEALING BREATHWORK
Long used by meditators as a path towards inner peace, health, vitality and creativity, intentional breathing can be used as a calming technique, and is an ideal way to release stress and any old tensions which may be stored in the body as a result of mental, emotional, physical or spiritual trauma.
This form of breathing can be known by many othe names, but essentially, are the same thing - the conscious use of breath to develop a deep state of inner consciousness.

Andrew Weil MD (author of '8 weeks to Optimal Health) states that 'conscious breathing is the most important thing we can do for our health, regardless of exercise and diet.'

HOW IT WORKS
We all have our personal realities and belief systems of which we live our lives by , based on and learnt by past experience. It effects our responses to others and how they will in turn treat or/and respond towards us.
As a result of life events there can be times when we feel under threat (mentally, emotionally, physically or spiritually), because we may have experienced other people's anger and fear as we grew up in earlier life situations.

This can change our natural breathing pattern - we can unconsciously start to suppress or hold our breath when we expect something 'bad' to happen. At the same time as limiting our breathing we may be making a limiting decision about ourselves - ie

'I give up'
'I am useless'
'if I let people in, they will hurt me'
'My relationships never work'
'I am not lovable'
'I will never come to nothing'
'I never earn enough' and on and on

These decisions act to keep us safe - to protect us from an inner fear -to ensure that we do not experience a negative response, as in the past, to the same or a similar event. This in turn effects our decisions in the present towards making changes.

Unfortunately, these personal beliefs, often made in childhood without understanding what is going on, does not always recreate harmony and peace in our lives. We can end up in a cycle of repeated negative behaviours.
If we fail to resolve these traumatic events at the same time of the experience, (either real of perceived) we can hold them in our bodies as a contracting energy (cellular memory). This can result in illness, depression, joylessness, aches and pains in the body. Creativity and spirituality will be blocked.. There will be no 'free flow' of energy through our bodies.

This is where Breathwork can be helpful, to release the contracted energy. Incorporated into the breathing will be powerful positive affirmations to support you in the changes you wish to make in your life and to release.

Cost of Workshop----------£100. (cash or cheques accepted, please make payable to 'Therapy City')
A deposit of £30 is required to ensure your place on the workshop. Full payment is required 2 weeks before the workshop date. Please make cheques payable to 'Therapy City'.
Time of Workshop---------arrival at 9.30 for 10am start till 5.30pm

WHAT TO WEAR------
comfortable clothing (preferably layering)

WHAT TO BRING----
packed lunch and small pillow or duvet if possible, however there will be some provided.
More importantly, your awareness and yourself!
